Summer sun in Fiss

Can even arriving be an experience and is there a place where the sun seems to shine more often than anywhere else? Yes is the answer. Not far from the South Tyrol and Swiss borders lies the idyllic village of Fiss. The area has around 850 inhabitants and is rich in culture, natural beauty and a whole lot of sunshine – the most hours of sun in the Tyrol Alps are counted here.

The Schönjoch welcomes the arrivals under a beaming blue sky. The village’s location is picturesque on the magnificent Sunny Plateau. It’s as if nature has prepared a sun terrace for you here to catch some rays.
The Rhaeto-Romanic centre of the town has a wonderful church, a gallery and many other historical trinkets.

The holiday village awarded “Family village in the Tyrol” is one of a king when it comes to child-friendliness and the quality of what it has to offer.

Winter magic in Fiss

Snow covered streets and rooftops sparkle in the winter sunshine. The village shows its particularly charming side in winter. The rural area is very comfortable, yet nevertheless still retains its idyllic character. The links to the Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis ski area is superb. With the main carriers Schönjoch and Möseralmbahn you can get straight to the beautiful ski-runs.

The valley stations are also only a few metres away from Schlosshotel.

As well as the fantastic, sweeping ski areasnowboarders and trick skiers can expect a great fun park in Fiss and a Flight & Cross Park in Serfaus. Cross-country skiers will find a network of cross-country ski tracks which cover a total of 146 km. Toboggan runs, ice-skating rinks and numerous wonderful winter hiking trails round off the alternative range for connoisseurs. Particularly recommended is winter hike on the „pleasurable panoramic path“ from the Möseralm to the Kölner Hotel in Serfaus. A relaxing lie down on wonderfully sunny spots makes the trip a source of relaxation.

The region also has great range for children. Excellent childcare in the Fiss ski school and kid’s world, kid’s snow alp and “Berta´s Kinderland” are the most popular places to experience in winter.

This bounteous winter world for the small racers is on the Mittelstation of the Sonnenbahn. The kid’s garden, tubing run and “Bertas Kid’s planet”, the kid’s restaurant at Fiss ski school complete the range on offer for kid’s skiing fun. In the family restaurant “Sonnenburg” parents have the chance to watch their offspring skiing via live-transmission in “Berta´s Ski-TV”.

The Möseralm will surprise you with its attractions such as the “Fisser Flieger” and the “Skyswing” for those who love a bit of adventure. Experience these moments of weightlessness and pure adrenaline kicks at first hand.

When the sun goes down and the stars twinkle in the night blue sky, the mountain takes in a new life. Every Tuesday the “Nightflow 3.0” entices numerous guests and locals to the Möseralm to experience something spectacular. Unforgettable performances, laser effects, excellent ski performances, fireworks and the unexpected are on the programme.
