Walking holidays in Tyrol – the Explorer’s Trail

Thomas Brezina’s Adventure Mountains – the Explorer’s Trail

A mysterious treehouse in the woods that surround Ladis is the third and final Adventure Mountains trail in Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis that we would like to introduce. After the Crashed Plane in Serfaus and the Witches’ Trail in Fiss, the Explorer’s Trail in Ladis is another popular attraction for children and families. Situated just above Ladis, the Explorer’s Trail adds a thrilling adventure to your walking holiday in Tyrol.

Start at the Schlosshotel Fiss

Before setting off for the Explorer’s Trail, children will again need to collect their adventure backpack from reception at the Schlosshotel Fiss. This is also where you collect your certificate after completing the challenge.

Getting there

The Explorer’s Trail is located just above the small village of Ladis. The Sonnenbahn (yellow gondola) gets you there in ten minutes from the Schlosshotel Fiss, so it’s perfect for a half-day hike during your walking holiday in Tyrol. The walk from Ladis station to the start of the Explorer’s Trail takes around 30 minutes and is interspersed with streams and water features that make inviting rest stops.

The Explorer’s Trail in Ladis – a puzzling treehouse

A strange treehouse, oversized animals and other enigmas in a clearing near the village of Ladis oblige you to exercise all your investigative skills and stratagems. Detectives, we’re relying on you to find an explanation for these bewildering phenomena!

The Explorer’s Trail is a definite highlight of any walking holiday in Tyrol. Just ask at the Schlosshotel Fiss if you would like more information about the Adventure Mountains.
