A cycling holiday at a hotel in Tyrol is the very definition of freedom on two wheels – a fascinating combination of your own physical effort, the rush of the wind in your hair and the unfiltered experience of Alpine nature. What makes it so special is the unique change of perspective: from the saddle of a mountain bike or a modern e-bike, you conquer distances that open up completely new panoramic views, whilst at the same time feeling every metre of elevation gain intensely and becoming one with the mountain world. Why should you definitely give this adventure a go? Because a cycling holiday clears your head in a way that hardly any other sport can. The interplay of the rhythm of movement, the crisp mountain air and the proud moment of reaching the summit brings a flood of pure happiness. It’s the perfect balance between physical challenge and mental relaxation. When this experience culminates in the restaurant and spa of our bike hotel in Tyrol after a thrilling ride across gentle alpine meadows or flowing trails, you can really feel how deeply this active break revitalises both body and soul.

Single tracks
Want to take it to the next level? Then you’ll find plenty of singletrack trails for every ability level – from beginners to advanced riders – in the Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis region around our bike hotel in Austria.
If you’d like to get to grips with mountain biking first, the Alpkopf Trail is particularly well suited for this. This green-marked trail is considered very easy, requiring little to no previous trail experience. Starting at the Waldbahn, via the Sunliner to the Alpenkopfbahn, you can easily transport your mountain bike in the gondolas. The starting point is the top station of the Alpenkopfbahn, from where the 2.6-kilometre-long downhill ride begins.
For a slightly greater challenge, try the 3.8-kilometre-long, blue-marked Hög Trail, which is still suitable for beginners but offers a steeper challenge with a few undulations and sections with tree roots. The route can be reached via the Alpenkopfbahn, getting off at the middle station, or by continuing on from the Alpkopf Trail.
The red trails feature tighter bends, steps, roots and stones. One example is the 8.7-kilometre-long Frommestrail. After a short climb from the Fisser Joch, the trail starts at an altitude of 2,490 metres and leads through open alpine pastures alongside a stunning mountain panorama to the forest, where a few more challenging sections await, requiring advanced riding skills.
