Downhill adventures in the Alps
The scent of pine trees fills the air, clouds drift across the mountain peaks and the trails are waiting. It’s 8:30 a.m. and the Waldbahn cable car begins its first ascent of the day, carrying the first riders and their bikes up the mountain. There’s a special mix of anticipation, excitement and adrenaline in the air. In addition to nine bike park trails, the Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis region offers eight single trails. From beginners to experienced mountain bikers, there’s a route to suit every level.
With the mountains ahead and your hands firmly on the handlebars, the adventure begins. Feel the wind on your face as flowing turns take you over roots and rocks, through forests and past mountain lakes. With every corner, the excitement grows – and by the time you reach the bottom, you’ll already be looking forward to your next run. That feeling of freedom, adventure and connection with nature? That’s biking in Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis.
The Waldbahn cable car is located directly at Bike Park Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis and takes you and your bike up to 1,840 metres above sea level. From there, choose between easy, intermediate and difficult downhill trails.
The trails are maintained daily by the Bike Park Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis trail crew to ensure the best possible riding conditions. Nine trails await:
- Milky Way | easy
- Vuelta | easy
- Morning Glory | easy
- Strada del Sole | intermediate
- Supernatural | intermediate
- Freeride Trail | intermediate
- Supernatural 2.0 | intermediate
- Hill Bill | difficult
- Downhill | difficult
With a four-hour or day pass, you can take the lift up again and again, try different trails and gradually progress to more challenging terrain.
The Milky Way is an ideal place to start. This three-kilometre blue trail is particularly well suited to families and beginners. Along the way, small challenges and opportunities to practise jumps add variety, while the trail remains manageable even for less experienced riders.
Looking for the next challenge? The 2.8-kilometre Strada del Sole is a red trail where the pace picks up noticeably. More than 40 jumps make it a favourite among freeriders, while many features can be bypassed by less experienced riders.
For a serious adrenaline rush, take on the 2.4-kilometre black Hill Bill trail. Technically demanding sections lead over roots, drops and challenging terrain, while wooden features and jumps provide plenty of action even for experienced riders.
More information about the trails is available on the Bike Park Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis website.
"Our vision is to connect all the trails, offer something for every level and create a strong overall network. What I love about the biking scene is that, just like skiing, it offers endless possibilities for the whole family.“
