Covid-19 guidelines

Covid-19 precautionary measures as of 7th June 2021:

At Schlosshotel Fiss, we are blessed with an abundance of space to enjoy adventures and breathe in the fresh air right from our hotel’s doorstep. Nevertheless, we must work together to keep ourselves and others safe in places where people gather. We kindly ask you to comply with several guidelines and maintain a suitable distance from other people.

Please rest assured that we are doing our best to gather all information and government updates relevant to your stay on this page and are constantly updating it to reflect any changes or variations. If you still have further questions you can also visit the official Austrian Website.

Arrival

Upon arrival, we request that you provide a valid negative test result, vaccination certificate, or proof of previous Covid-19 infection. Children under the age of 10 years (from 1st of july: 12 years) are exempt from this requirement. Please also note that all guests are required to register prior to their travels. This can be done via a registration form at check-in or the myVisitPass for Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis.

Testing during your stay

In the region, we have several locations offering Covid-19 antigen tests. Many services are available or accessible to you only when you can present a negative test result not older than 48 hours. These include:

  • Supervised rapid antigen test taken at an official test site (e.g. Schlosshotel Fiss, regional test centre, doctor, or other) – valid for 48 hours
  • PCR test – valid for 72 hours

The requirement for regular testing does not apply to vaccinated individuals, those who have recovered from previous infection, or children below the age of 10 (from 1st of july: 12 years).

Accepted proof of recovery
  • A quarantine notice from an official body that is not older than six months
  • A medical certificate that indicates an infection and recovery in the last six months
  • A Covid-19 antibody test that is not older than three months
Accepted proof of vaccination
  • All vaccines approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) are accepted.
  • The first dose is considered valid for three months after the 22nd day of vaccination and for nine months if you were infected with Covid-19 within 21 days prior to vaccination.
  • The second dose is considered valid for nine months after the day of vaccination of the first dose.
  • Vaccines requiring only one shot are considered valid from the 22nd day after injection. They are recognised up to nine months from vaccination.
General measures

In all public areas, a minimum distance of one meter is required between people not living in the same household. Indoors it is mandatory to wear your FFP2 mask in addition to keeping the minimum distance from others. Children up to the age of 6 years are exempt from the mask requirement. Children up to the age of 14 years must wear appropriate face coverings, however, FFP2 masks are not required.

Restaurant and hotel bar

The restaurant buffet is currently open. However, we can only allow a maximum of eight adults and their children at one table. In our outdoor areas, the maximum number is sixteen adults per table. Please also note that indoors, food and drinks may only be consumed while seated. The hotel bar closes at 12 am. General guidelines regarding social distancing and the requirement to wear an FFP2 mask also apply as detailed above.

Spa facilities

Wearing an FFP2 mask is mandatory at the entrance and in the general areas of the spa. In wet rooms, showers, pools, and on the loungers, you are welcome to remove your mask. We are happy to say that we can continue to offer our full range of treatments and massages. Safety measures have been enhanced to ensure both your protection and that of our team. If you would like to participate in our activities’ and yoga programme, please register in advance. We apologise that due to the strict hygiene measures, sauna infusions cannot be offered at this time.

Our in-house gym is open for use. However, we do ask that the minimum distance to others is maintained at all times. Please wear your FFP2 mask when entering the gym, in the locker room, and on your way to the gym machines. The machines must be disinfected after every use. In the spa, we ensure that strict hygiene and safety standards are adhered to and that our team is regularly trained in state-of-the-art measures.

Kids Club

The Kids’ Club is open from 9 am to 9 pm daily (and until 9.30 pm during holiday season). The in-house cinema shows children’s movies every night at 8 pm. Our Youth Club, too, is open. Please also observe the minimum distance in these areas. Due to current hygiene and safety measures, food and drinks are currently not allowed in these areas.
