Opened in 1940 as a hunting lodge and guesthouse, the Schlosshotel has been a very special place from the very beginning when all of Fiss’ dances and celebrations were held here. It gradually became a hotel, and in 1991 the Domenig family began to write the story of this magnificent establishment high up in the Alpine landscape. Now the Tyrol would be unimaginable without this very special 5-star hotel.
In 2016, we celebrated our 25th anniversary and were awarded a 5-star rating in acknowledgement of our hotel’s defining standards: stunning architecture, exquisite furnishings, harmony, tranquillity, family-friendliness, excellent cuisine, an incomparable Spa and our genuine, discreet hospitality. We the Domenigs, your host family, have brought together our homeland and your heart's desires to create a place that enriches you and us with unforgettable moments. With every renovation or extension over the last 25 years we have given freely of our passion for beauty, elegance and our Alpine homeland. Today we can offer 380 beds in sophisticated surroundings adjacent to the ski slopes of Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis.
Construction and opening as a hunting lodge and guesthouse where all the village feasts, dances, theatre performances and other events were held.
The guesthouse becomes the first Schlosshotel with 50 beds.
The Domenig family acquires the Schlosshotel.
Extension work creates an indoor pool and leisure area, now with 120 beds, the third floor is restructured into maisonettes, addition of Chimney Lounge and restaurant.
Extension of indoor pool, construction of linked outdoor pool, gardens, Schlosstherme Spa and staff accommodation.
Addition of the Schloss Gym, beauty department & Kids’ Club, construction of underground car park (west), construction of new west wing (Alpine resort), new entrance area, restaurant and buffet area, new kitchen, Alpine wellbeing garden, Schloss Spa and new suites – now extended to 220 beds, Spa extension – Alpine Private Spa Suite, Schloss Gym extended to 300sqm and hotel forecourt redesign.
Construction of Team Resort with 60 staff apartments, restaurant extension, upgrade to pellet heating system, refurbishment of sports shop.
Construction of Aqua Monte & Splash – separate adult and children’s Waterworlds, range of slides and attractions, Jacuzzis, outdoor saltwater Jacuzzi, grotto pool, bistro restaurant, panorama sun terrace and beautiful garden – new rooms & suites in the east wing opened in October, we now have 270 beds.
Renovation and refurbishment of Schlosstherme Spa, lobby, hotel bar, west wing rooms & suites – development of the new Schloss Spa, Family Spa, Spa reception and hotel shop.
All rooms & suites refurbished to match east wing design and comfort standards.
25th anniversary and awarded 5-star status.
At the moment we build another SHF Crew Home with spacious, luxurious studio apartments and apartments. We do investments to create a cosy home for our employees.
