Swimming in Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis

Summer, mountains and lakes for swimming

When summer takes over and the days sparkle and shine, the lakes and reservoirs of Serfaus, Fiss and Ladis reveal their true beauty in the sunlight.

Lake within nature's playground

Wolfsee in Fiss

Explore this pristine mountain lake either on foot, by bike or with your baby comfortably tucked away in the rental stroller. The journey takes you from the hotel to the Fiss Kulturhaus, where the path then meanders across blooming fields and meadows. Lake Wolfsee is only a 20-minute walk from Schlosshotel Fiss. Its generous lawn is perfect for sunbathing and the cool waters invite you to take a dip. A magnificent playground inspires little ones to get active: wolves, lynx and bears hide in caves and underneath the waterfalls. How about building a dam or mastering the obstacle course? The sandy area is great for building sand castles, and many more opportunities for kids to play await.

Adventure park at 1,829 metres

Högsee in Serfaus

If you want to aim higher, you need to bring some stamina – or simply hop on the gondola. Lake Högsee is located 1,829 metres above sea level. Exploring the mountain lakes with kids? Then take the Waldbahn gondola, continue on to the Sunliner and switch over to the Alpkopfbahn, which will directly take you to the Högsee. Alternatively, you can take the Komperdellbahn to the mid-way station and enjoy a gentle stroll to the Murmliwasser water park and further on to the Hög hut. Don’t forget to bring your bathing gear.

Quiet reward

Urgsee

For your Urgsee adventure we recommend an early start. The hike from the Fisser Joch to the Schöngampalm hut takes approximately four hours and requires strong boots, a well-packed backpack and surefootedness. Wander through the unspoilt Urgtal valley across scree, along steep mountain paths and past the Spinnseen lakes until you reach your quiet destination: Lake Urgsee. Leave enough time to soak up its stunning surroundings before hopping on a rental bike at the Schöngampalm hut for a swift descent to Fiss.

Alpine hike explore the mountain lakes

Spinnseen

Not only Alpine nature rests quietly up here in higher altitudes, but also we become quieter as we explore our natural surroundings in awe. The lakes of the Spinnseen, Wasensee and Gatschseen are unique destinations for your next hiking adventure.
