Frequently asked questions

What is ski-in & ski out?

Ski-in & ski-out means you can start your ski adventure from the hotel’s doorstep. The lift at the SHF Sports Shop, Rental & Depot takes you directly to the slopes.

Is my ski ticket included in the stay?

Ski tickets are not included in the price.

Can I buy ski passes at the reception?

Yes, we offer ski tickets for purchase at the reception.

Do you have a rental service?

Yes. The SHF Sports Shop, Rental & Depot by Bacher Sport is located directly at the hotel and offers ski and snowboard equipment to rent.

Can I wear ski boots to the afternoon buffet?

Please understand that ski boots are not permitted in the lobby or on our terrace. You can drop your ski equipment, including your boots, at the SHF Sports Shop, Rental & Depot, where we will take care of everything.

Are there any other outdoor activities in winter?

Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis has an abundance of outdoor activities available in winter. If you don’t feel like skiing, you may want to try snowshoeing, winter hiking (also suitable with babies or toddlers), cross-country skiing, ski touring, or tobogganing.

How far are the lifts and ski schools from the hotel?

The meeting place for beginning skiers is at the Sonnenbahn mid-way station. Allow 3 to 5 minutes from the hotel to the bottom station on skis and another 5 minutes for your lift ride to the mid-way station.

The meeting place for intermediate skiers is at the Möseralmbahn/Schönjochbahn bottom station opposite the hotel. Allow 3 to 5 minutes on skis.

On foot, the bottom station can be reached within 10 minutes.

Do you offer ski lessons at the hotel? Where can I book a private instructor?

Please book your ski lessons and instructor conveniently online. Personal advice is provided on the phone.

Alternatively, you may book your ski lessons or private instructor on site. Ski school representatives regularly visit Schlosshotel Fiss on the weekends. Please ask at the reception for more details.

What languages do the ski instructors speak?

The ski school has German-speaking, English-speaking, and Dutch-speaking instructors. Please let them know about your language preference at booking.

How long will there be enough snow for skiing?

We guarantee snow until mid-April. However, the snow conditions may vary depending on the weather.

Can we have lunch at the hotel as a family in between our ski lessons?

Absolutely! You and your children can enjoy lunch together at the hotel as soon as our afternoon buffet opens, which is at 1 pm daily.
